Know Your Scenefest!
April 22, 2005
What?:
Next weekend, one of the largest local music festivals in Lincoln kicks off as “Scenefest 4,” hits the Capital City.
The concert features 10 bands over two nights at Duffy’s Tavern, 1412 “O” Street in Lincoln, and is a 21 and older show.
Why Should I Go?:
The event is a way to support local music, even if it’s outside the tri-cities. Here’s who’s playing:
Friday, April 21st
9:15 - 9:45 Tie These Hands
10:00-10:30 Prints of Apple Island
10:45-11:15 The Goddamn Rights
11:30-12:00 The Static Octopus
12:15-12:45 Straight Outta Junior High
Sat Apr 22nd
9:15 - 9:45 Robot, Creep Closer!
10:00-10:30 Producers of the Word
10:45-11:15 Electric Soul Method
11:30-12:00 Once A Pawn
12:15-12:45 Sinikil
What Else:
The concert is going to throw a whole bunch of different styles and types of bands at you. Part of the appeal is, if one band doesn’t trip your trigger, you’re only half an hour away from the next one. As far as specifics, each night’s performances runs from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. Nightly admission is $6 at the door day of show.
